Ate breakfast at hotel then walked over to visit the rehabilitation workshop. About 10am got in the car and took the North Drive through Kapaa, Anohola, Kilauea, to Hanalei Valley hook out. Here you can see Taroat rice paddies down bellow. Post gorgeous beaches, fields of sugar cane and pineapples. Saw the Waloli  Mission built in 1835 ( minister name's Philip A. Brick ) At the end of the trip we saw the wet and dry caves of Haena where royalty was said to have gathered. Ended at beautiful beach where Joey put his feet in the ocean. Tonight was the birthday celebration at the hotel. The menu was prime ribs with a dessert of cake topped with fresh coconut. There were favors of a Hawaiian flag, cigarette holders and bauda orehids ( which I pinned in my bun ). Henry J. Kaiser was there to plant a new tree in the coconut grove with great pomp and ceremony.

You can hear the surf from he room. Ate dinner here and saw the impressive torch lighting ceremonies. The conch shell is blown of the drum beats while the torches are lit. All the participants wear red lava - lavas. The dining room is on a lanai overlooking a lagoon swarming with fish.
